Let me repost for you, clown:
“After the ACA passed, Obama gave businesses a 1 year delay on the ACA mandate of, “you can still participate if
you choose to but there’s no penalty if you don’t”.
Republicans merely proposed the same 1 year delay for average Americans.
Obama/Democrats are fighting viciously against.

So not one liberal slug on this thread will directly admit what this all currently boils down to:
After the ACA passed, Obama gave businesses a 1 year delay on the ACA mandate of, “you can still participate if
you choose to but there’s no penalty if you don’t”.
Republicans proposed the same 1 year delay for average Americans. Obama/Democrats are fighting viciously against
the same treatment for everyone else & and you fk’tards defend that. Mind-blowing.

Reid flatly rejected it because it’s time for the Republicans to grow up. They’ve been fighting the ACA for 3
years. They’ve lost the fight in the legislature (what, 50 some odd times now?), they’ve lost it in the White
House twice, they’ve lost it in the Supreme Court. They don’t get to decide to take the government and the
economy hostage and demand that that Democrats lets them “win” now.

Ruin the economy? The economy is fucked already. The only reason why “the economy” is surviving at the moment is
the FED zero interest and the 85 billion a month spending on shit mortgages and bond purchases. What is funny is
the hivemind mentality of both Democrats and Republicans. DERP, lets get a supermajority in both the senate and
congress and we will fix America. Both the Democrats and Republicans are owned by big business. But please, do
go on with the Lib circlejerk.

receive non-taxed compensation in the form of exorbitant health insurance plans, those “cadillac plans” will
indeed be taxed. This is one of those loopholes that everyone complains about. 3. The ACA has already passed. It
passed the House, Senate and was signed by the President. Then it was upheld by the conservative SCOTUS. I is the

Millions of Americans have begun receiving letters that their current policies are ending 12/31/2013 due to not

Unfortunately, this is not a “secret” change to the procedure. It was passed by the house on Oct 1st with a vote
of 228 – 199. Of those 228 yea votes, 221 of them were Republican.
221 elected Republican officials voted to change the rules in their favor so that only Majority Leader Eric
Cantor can open the government.
This is absolutely outrageous.

Actually, the representatives that want to reopen the government with a clean CR are in the MAJORITY. There are a
number of Republican reps who feel that this act is harmful and want to get things back on track.
The problem, as is obvious by the video above, is that the house’s majority leader, Boehner, refuses to allow

Do you know anything about how those government cell phones? They have about 250 pre-paid minutes on them and are
to be used solely to look for a job and have a phone a potential employer can reach you at. Once you land a job,
you return the phone. They’re for either the homeless, people who can’t afford a cell phone, or those without a
land line and cell phone both.
I have neve heard of the laptop thing, but i’m sure that’s the point of that as well, having a way to apply
online for applications

NAZI was just a left over name. Read the Wiki on the NAZI party, you’ll find little true socialism involved.
…During 1921 and 1922, the Nazi Party grew significantly….. and partly because there was a backlash against
socialist and liberal politics in Bavaria as Germany’s economic problems…..
Hitler in Mein Kampf directly attacked both left-wing and right-wing politics ….. a majority of scholars
identify Nazism in practice as being a far-right form of politics (like the Tea Party) .

Actually it says speaker. You could overthrow the speaker but there’s issues that make it impossible. You need a
majority of members to sign something saying there’s no speaker. Then everybody gets to vote equally for speaker.
If the Republicans fractured Nancy Pelosi could end up speaker, or if the Democrats wanted to vote for some more
liberal republican, they could and swing the election to that person. Oddly, overthrowing the speaker then
becomes impossible. But, yeah, only Boner can do it.

The Dems were this sneaky & disgusting under GHW Bush and Clinton. The current crop is nowhere near that
diabolical or self-centered. A lot of them are really trying to do right by their country. It’s a cop-out to
drop a blanket accusation on both parties. The Dems did NOT cause either the shutdown or the debt ceiling crisis.
The last time the Dems pulled a stunt anything like this was probably 1991.

By secretly changing the parliamentary procedure of how one third of our government conducts itself, a single
party has the only power in this matter. While it should be reviewed by constitutional experts, it appears that
the party in question has subverted democracy and is acting in an unconstitutional manner. It seems to be an
illegal attempt to seize power through secret legislation, that could not be accomplished legally by democratic
election. If so, it’s radical, and a threat to democracy.

Yeah, nobody’s going to argue with you there. Nobody in politics or law is going to ask a question in such a
forum they don’t already know the answer to. But, he’s right, the only reason you need to yank away the ability
of any member to pull up the CR is because you fear that a majority of people might support it while you want to
prevent it from being passed.

[Continued] Because a democracy or republic might have a senate or parliament it might be representative, it may
or may not have explicitly defined code of laws outlining the government’s jurisdiction of arbitration and
authority, this body of laws is often called a constitution, so a government operating under the authority and
limits of such a code a “Constitutional Republic/Democracy.” So in the end all three terms are correctly (at
least on paper) applied to the US government.

True. This is a complicated issue because of the meaning of the word republic in Latin Roman culture, and
democracy, which is a Greek word. In theory they mean the same thing. Republic means “Public thing” and a
republican government in theory means a government owned by it’s public. Democracy similarly means rule by the
public. Saying democratic republic is thus somewhat redundant, democratic people’s republic is thrice over
redundant. Constitution refers to the legal tradition of a government.

Democrats “not willing to budge on Obamacare”? Obamacare shouldn’t even BE up for negotiation: Obama was

The President can, under the 14th amendment, raise the debt ceiling on his own. So if we are brought to brink of
an economic disaster, he will exercise that right as POTUS and save our asses. However, this will be spun by Fox

Gerrymandering. 90% of the House seats are “safe” for their respective party. This means that a Republican
representative doesn’t have to fear campaigning against a Democrat, and vice versa. It also means that a
representative *does* have one thing to fear: a more extreme candidate from their own party.
This is why you see so much extremism lately. The districts are rigged, and candidates must either take a radical
position or be ousted by someone who does. < 10% public support doesn’t matter. I understand that there is a rule called the Hastertd(?) rule. It basically states that a bill cannot be brought
to the floor if it doesn’t have the majority of the majority party. And this is not always the majority of the
house, i.e., even if a majority wants to pass a bill a minority can hold it up. And, that’s what they’re doing.
If a clean CR was introduce, it would pass…strange world!!
